It’s important for children to get fresh air and exercise each day during the break times in our school day. Since we live in a coastal rainforest, this means students should be prepared to be outside every day for 15 minutes at recess and 30 minutes at lunch, rain or shine.
Wet weather gear such as rubber boots, raincoats, rain pants, and an umbrella help students enjoy their outside playtime and stay reasonably dry and comfortable.
It’s also recommended for students of all ages to have a change of clothing at school just in case their clothes get wet at recess or lunch.
