The staff at Confederation Park Elementary would like to wish you and your family all the very best for a happy, safe, and relaxing summer break! The school is now closed for the summer.

The first day of school for students in grades 1-7 is Tuesday, September 3rd, from 8:50-9:50am. Returning students should report to their previous year’s classroom; new students should report to the office. The first full day of school is Wednesday, September 4th, from 8:50-3:02pm. See you in September!

Moving this summer or taking an extended vacation??

If your child will not be attending the first week of school (e.g. moving schools or an extended vacation), please inform the school by emailing confederationpark.info@burnabyschools.ca.  This information is an important part of our school start-up as we need to plan our classes for the year.

Congratulations to our Grade 7 Band for their awesome music making at the District Band Festival.  Kudos to our own Mr. Denroche for hosting this event which runs for three days at Taylor Park School.

Happy Earth Day!  Join us Thursday at 1:30 or 7:00 for our Spring Concert, “Voices of Nature”.  Doors will open at 6:30 Thursday evening to provide time for families to view our “Learning Gallery” in the hallways and some class rooms.  We look forward to celebrating our learning about environmental education with a concert of music making!

Kindergarten Registration is from February 1 – 28, 2019 for children born in 2014. 

If you have a child born in 2014 and need to register your child for Kindergarten, please contact the office at 604-296-9010 to book a registration appointment.

It is highly recommended that you register your child in the month of February as the school district gives priority to all students registered in the month of February.   Any registrations received from March 1 onwards may be placed on a waitlist.

We are excited to announce that we have a new online registration system for the upcoming 3-Way Conferences that are taking place on the week of March 4^th.  This is available to students in Divisions 2 (Ms. Safarik), Division 8 (Ms. McKenna), Division 9 (Ms. Marshall), and Division 10 (Ms. Fischer).

Students in Divisions 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 will be holding Student Led Conferences which do not require an appointment.  Further information will be sent home to those students.

The Boomerang Club is sponsoring a COOKIE DAY SALE on February 28th at 12:15.  All proceeds will be donated to Canuck Place.  Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is British Columbia’s recognized pediatric palliative care provider. 715 newborns, children and teens with life-threatening illnesses and their families receive care from Canuck Place.
