The students and staff of Confederation Park school have decided to come together virtually to create the ‘100 Challenge’. We were inspired by the story of Captain Tom Moore who set the goal of walking around his garden 100 times before his 100th birthday and was able to raise millions of dollars in donations from people who were inspired by his challenge.
Students and staff have decided to set their own ‘100 Challenge’ for themselves. In order to cheer them on, we are hoping that you will join our virtual food drive.
We know that this is a difficult time for families and individuals who are facing their own financial hardships. We appreciate that this may not be a time when you are able to make a donation. For those of you who are fortunate enough to have the ability to donate at this time, we hope that you will support our fundraising initiative. We want to help do our part for those who are in need right now.
We are asking you to support the Food Bank by participating in our Virtual Food Drive. Just click the “DONATE” button to participate in the Confederation Park virtual food drive.
Remember, that for every $1 donated, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank can purchase around $3 of healthy, nutritious food.
Thank you in advance for joining our Virtual Food Drive!
Schools are at the heart of our community and have a much larger function than their core responsibility of providing education. The Burnaby School District recognizes the significance of this wider important role, particularly in these challenging times that have brought so much change and uncertainty to all of our lives.
