Exemplary School Award – Arts Schools Network

Confederation Park Elementary School has received an Exemplary School Award from the Arts Schools Network. This five-year designation is awarded for 2024-2029 and is in recognition of our commitment to excellence! Confederation Park was one of 10 schools from Canada and the US to receive this award. Two staff members will attend the ASN Annual conference in Washington, DC next week to attend workshops and to receive our award.  We thank our entire staff for their dedication to the Arts and their commitment to providing our students with learning opportunities through and of the Arts.  We also thank our school community for their support of our unique and wonderful school!!!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Community Gathering Sept. 27 at 1:15. Early dismissal at 2:05.

Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

We will be acknowledging this day through art and conversations culminating on Friday, September 27.

Friday the 27th is also Orange Shirt Day and we encourage staff and students to wear Orange on this day.

We invite families to join us at a community gathering commemorating Orange Shirt Day in the school gym at 1:15 followed by an early dismissal at 2:05 pm.
